Surrogacy

What is surrogacy?

Surrogacy is an assisted reproductive technology by means of which a baby is gestated in the womb of a woman who will not be her biological mother, since the implanted embryo has no genetic connection with her.

Every year, hundreds of couples, or single people, choose surrogacy to make the dream of their lifes come true: to become parents.

Surrogacy is a complicated process that mixes the most advanced medicine, the laws of each country (usually contradictory or incompatible), different languages and customs. A complicated process in which nothing can be left to chance. It is not a job for "amateurs" who may have good intentions but little experience.

Competition in the sector

In the past few years, dozens of small companies have grown like Topsy. They are dedicated to offer “counselling” to future parents. These companies are run, most of the time, by parents who had a child by this method and, without much professional experience, are willing to provide their services without a minimum essential structure. When problems arise (something which is very often in such a complicated subject in which medicine is mixed with the law, travel, language) they have no means to measure up to it. Good intentions are useless in these cases. Personnel and qualified structures are necessary to solve any possible contingency. That is why it is vital to hire the services of a specialized company, with extensive experience (not just one case itself), with a solid structure dedicated exclusively to surrogacy, with its own offices and staff abroad that can help you with any contingency.

If we entrust our case to professionals for any minor legal matter (litigation with a neighbour, divorce), are we going to entrust the most important process of our lives to "amateurs", to people who lack the necessary legal and medical experience?
